Ah, yes - courage!

Today Nick and I went into the city and saw The Fantasticks and Hedda Gabler.  The two really complemented each other very well.  For those of you who do not know the synopsis of Hedda Gabler by Henrik Ibsen, click the entry title to find one.  Also, for more info concerning my day in the city with Nick, go to his blog by clicking here.

Have I been Hedda all of this time? Am I still Hedda?

I feel like I've been trying so hard and been quite successful in my pursuits to rid myself of the negative traits in me, the traits that are reflected in Hedda.  Nonetheless, I'm debating whether I need to completely rid myself of an entire section of my life just in order to become Hedda-free.   Do I tell the truth or continue what's been going on for quite some time now due to convenience and dark motivations?

I'm just glad that I have something that's pulling me so forcefully out of the vicious cycle that is the lifestyle of Hedda.  If I didn't have that, I'd still be miserable.

Appropriate quotation from Hedda Gabler:

Hedda: Ah, yes - courage! If only one had that!
Lovborg: What then? What do you mean?
Hedda: Then life would perhaps be livable, after all.
